In our latest customer survey we asked, “What is your main consideration when buying travel insurance?”

Respondents could choose one of the following answers:

• Lowest price possible

• I want the lowest price possible while also getting the best coverage for my money

• Protecting what I pay for the trip in case I have to cancel

• Emergency medical evacuation coverage

• Bad weather coverage (if it forces cancellation or causes travel delays)

The overwhelming answer —chosen by nearly 74% of respondents — was “I want the lowest price possible while also getting the best coverage for my money.” By contrast, only 2% of respondents replied that “lowest price possible” was their main consideration. Low price matters, but travelers who shop with Travel Insurance Center want to know they’re covered with the right policy, too.
